News

Baltasar Kormákur is one of Scandinavia’s leading directors. All his films have been very successful domestically and have been shown abroad, some receiving numerous awards. His most recent accomplishment is directing Contraband, an American thriller based on the Icelandic film Reykavik-Rotterdam (2008). Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura shows three of his films in the hotel’s auditorium 6 nights a week.

Each week’s bedtime story festures a different theme from Icelandic literature, including readings from Nobel Prize winning author Halldor Laxness and a night devoted to the burgeoning genre of Icelandic crime fiction.

Live, fun readings from Icelandic literature, presented by professional actors in English.

We encourage you to wear your pyjamas; we’ll provide the hot chocolate and some blankets under which to snuggle during the readings.

Every Thursday at 21:00, admission is free and everyone is welcome - whether with striped pyjamas and bunny rabbit slippers or not!

SNEAK IN, LEAN BACK AND ENJOY.
